-- _ COPy <br /> DUPLICATe- ORIGINAL <br /> original in Ordinance No. 1980 file in vault <br /> <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> FOR <br /> COLLECTION OF RECYCLABLE MATERIALS <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEblENT, effective as of August 25, 1988, is made by <br />and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a municipal corporation <br />("Agency"), and BROWNING-FERRIS INDUSTRIES OF CALIFORNIA, INC., a <br />California corporation ("Company"); <br /> <br /> WITNE S SETH : <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Agency is a member agency of the South Bayside <br />Transfer Station Authority ("Authority"), a public entity formed <br />by agreement in 1981 under the California Joint Exercise of <br />Powers Act (Calif. Govt. C. §S6500 et seq.); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Agency and the other member agencies of Authority <br />have granted to Company by separate agreements the right to <br />collect and remove solid waste generated within their respective <br />Service Areas, which separate agreements have been adapted from <br />the Uniform Franchise Agreement developed by Authority for such <br />purpose; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Authority and Company have developed a Uniform <br />Recycling Agreement for use by the member agencies of Authority, <br /> <br /> <br />
