�� �R��f�� MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN SEQUOIA UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT, REDWOOD CITY 2020,AND CITY OF REDWOOD CITY ACTING AS FISCAL AGENT FOR REDWOOD CITY 2020 This MEMORAND OF UNDERSTANDING ("MOU") is made and entered into as of the �.0 day of 2013, by and between SEQUOIA UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRI ("SUHSD"), OOD ITY 2020 (a collaboration comprised of eight partners, including City of Redwood, Redwood Cit lementary School District, Sequoia Union High School District, County of San Mateo Health and Human Services, Sequoia Healthcare District, John W. Gardner Center for Youth and their Communities—Stanford University, Kaiser Permanente, and First 5 of San Mateo County) and CITY OF REDWOOD ("City") Acting as Fiscal Agent for Redwood City 2020. Collectively, SUHSD, Redwood City 2020, and City are hereinafter referred to as the"Parties." SUBJECT: Redwood City 2020's Partial Funding of the Director position at Sequoia High School's Sequoia Teen Resource Center. RECITALS A. Redwood City 2020 is a Community Collaborative that coordinates the delivery of services to children, youth and families living in the City of Redwood City and North Fair Oaks, an unincorporated area adjacent to Redwood City. Redwood City 2020 is made up of eight partners, including City of Redwood City, Redwood City Elementary School District, Sequoia Union High School District, County of San Mateo Health and Human Services, Sequoia Healthcare District, John W. Gardner Center for Youth and their Communities— Stanford University, Kaiser Permanente, and First 5 of San Mateo County to provide leadership and oversight necessary to develop a coordinated approach to strengthen academic and social outcomes for children and youth living within the attendance area of the Redwood City School District and provide valuable resources to families so they can be successful primary caregivers to their children. B. City serves as fiscal agent for Redwood City 2020 and as such contracts for services required by Redwood City 2020. C. Redwood City 2020 desires to collaborate with SUHSD to provide partial funding for the Director position at Sequoia High School's Sequoia Teen Resource Center, with a maximum contribution by Redwood City 2020 in the amount of$50,506.00. D. The Parties specifically acknowledge and agree that the Director of Sequoia High School's Sequoia Teen Resource Center is not an employee of the City of Redwood City or Redwood City 2020, and is not entitled to, and does not obtain, any rights, privileges or benefits as those conferred upon Redwood City employees. NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of these recitals and the mutual covenants contained herein, the Parties agree as follows: ARTICLE I—BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES SUHSD seeks funding from Redwood City 2020 to partially fund the Director position at Sequoia High School's Sequoia Teen Resource Center for the 2012-2013 school year. The maximum contribution by Redwood City 2020 for the 2012-2013 school year will be $50,506.00, and the Director's yearly salary with benefits shall not exceed $102,506 for the 2012-2013 school year. 1. Term. Unless earlier terminated, the term of this MOU is from the date first above written until June 30, 2013.
