PUBLIC COMMENT - on items not on the Agenda <br /> A. Joe Steinfeld, 850 Main Street, candidate for Council, commented on the Agency <br /> Board's action on October 3 regarding the MainlMiddlefield mixed use development and <br /> retail in general in the downtown area. Mr. Steinfeld asked that the Agency Board <br /> reconsider its decision and invite the "third presenter" that evening whose proposal was <br /> closer to the economic realities of the downtown; and asked that the Agency Board not <br /> lock the City into long term debt with subsidies and a $250 million deficit a year. <br /> (The Brown Act prohibits local elected officials to comment on items not on the <br /> agenda.) <br /> MIS: DIRECTOR STEINFELD/ to bring this issue back before the Agency <br /> Board on October 24, 1994, for further discussion. <br /> MOTION DIED FOR LACK OF A SECOND. <br /> ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br />- MINUTE BOOK NO.1 <br /> Page No. 217 <br />
