ATTACHMENT 1 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13-25 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY RECOMMENDING THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br /> THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AMEND ARTICLE 2 (DEFINITIONS) <br /> AND ADD ARTICLE 56 (REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION) OF THE <br /> REDWOOD CITY ZONING ORDINANCE <br /> WHEREAS, on October 11, 2010, the City Council of the City of Redwood City <br /> ("City Council") adopted the new Redwood City General Plan; and <br /> WHEREAS, the General Plan included goals, policies, and programs relating to <br /> the establishment of a Reasonable Accommodation Ordinance and transition and <br /> supportive housing as well as residential care facilities; and <br /> WHEREAS, this proposed Zoning Ordinance Amendment, which implements the <br /> General Plan, is comprised of: (a) amendment of Article 2 (Definitions) and (b) addition <br /> of Article 56 (Reasonable Accommodation), and <br /> WHEREAS, the Redwood City Zoning Ordinance (Ordinance No. 1130) was <br /> enacted to protect the health, safety, peace, morals, comfort, convenience, and general <br /> welfare of the people of Redwood City ("Zoning Ordinance"); and <br /> WHEREAS, the Zoning Ordinance may be amended by the City Council upon <br /> recommendation by the Planning Commission; and <br /> WHEREAS, a notice of public hearing on the Zoning Ordinance Amendment was <br /> duly published in the Daily News at least 10 days prior to the public hearing; and <br /> WHEREAS, on November 12, 2013, the Planning Commission held a duly <br /> noticed public hearing on this Zoning Ordinance Amendment. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. The recitals set forth above are true and correct, and are hereby <br /> incorporated herein by this reference as if fully set forth in their entirety. <br /> Section 2. This Zoning Ordinance Amendment was presented to the Planning <br /> Commission at its meeting on November 12, 2013, was filed and made available at the <br /> Office of the City Clerk, and is incorporated herein by this reference. <br /> Section 3. This Zoning Ordinance Amendment has been reviewed by the <br /> Planning Commission with respect to applicability of the California Environmental <br /> ATTY/RES0.2924/PC RESO RECOMMENDING REASONABLE ACCOMODATION&HOUSING ZONING AMENDMENTS <br /> REV:11-12-13 VR <br /> Page 1 of 6 <br />
