SPECIAL ORDERS OF THE DAY - TAKEN OUT OF ORDER AT THIS TIME. <br /> A. Proclamation "In Recognition of Outstanding Service to the Community, Peter H. Griffiths, <br /> Upon His Retirement as a Redwood City Reserve Police Officer, February, 1997";(207) <br /> Mayor Hartnett read the Proclamation commending Director Griffiths for his twenty plus <br /> years of dedicated and outstanding service. Mayor Hartnett noted that Director Griffiths <br /> had logged over 9200 volunteer hours of patrol and other law enforcement duties, and <br /> expressed the Council's deepest gratitude for his commitment to the security and well- <br /> being of the people and places of Redwood City. Director Griffiths received a standing <br /> ovation. <br /> Director Griffiths spoke with great emotion when he thanked the Councils, past and <br /> present, Police Chiefs Bold, Guardino and Bolanos, the men and women of the Police <br /> Department for their support and encouragement over the years, and also thanked and <br /> introduced his wife, Susie.
