Attachment 1 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 14-08 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br /> OF REDWOOD CITY APPROVING A HISTORIC PRESERVATION <br /> PERMIT FOR THE INSTALLATION OF TWO SIDE WALL <br /> WINDOWS AT 2020 BROADWAY PURSUANT TO THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY'S HISTORIC PRESERVATION ORDINANCE <br /> WHEREAS, Applicant, M.R. Oyster, has submitted an application for a <br /> Historic Preservation Permit for the installation of two side wall windows; and <br /> WHEREAS, on April 10, 2014, pursuant to Section 40.9 of the Redwood City <br /> Municipal Code, the Historic Resources Advisory Committee (HRAC) held a meeting <br /> to consider the project and unanimously recommended approval of the project; and <br /> WHEREAS, on May 20, 2014, the Planning Commission opened a public <br /> hearing, in accordance with all applicable requirements of the Redwood City <br /> Municipal Code, to consider approval of Historic Preservation Permit Application; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the Commission has determined that the proposed work will not <br /> adversely affect 2020 Broadway nor the Main Street Historic District and will be <br /> compatible with the external appearance of existing designated improvements, <br /> building, and structures on the site; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Commission has determined that the proposed <br /> improvements are in compliance with the Secretary of the interior's Standards for <br /> Restoration and Reconstruction; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Commission has determined that the proposed Historic <br /> Preservation Permit would further the purposes of and appropriately implement the <br /> City of Redwood City General Plan and applicable provisions of the Redwood City <br /> Municipal Code. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. The Planning Commission finds that the above recitals are <br /> accurate and constitute findings in this matter and, together with the Staff Report and <br /> the application materials, including without limitation all other documents, reports, <br /> studies, memoranda, maps, oral and written testimony, and materials in the City's file <br /> for the applications and the Project, and all adopted City planning documents <br /> relating to the Project and the property including the City's General Plan, Municipal <br /> Code, Zoning Ordinance, and other applicable City laws and regulations, and all <br /> associated approved and certified environmental documents, have together served <br /> ATTY/RES0.2981/PC APPROVING PRESERVATION PERMIT FOR 2020 BROADWAY <br /> REV:05-13-14 VR <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br />
