REG:ek:2/27/61-10 <br /> O R D I N A N C E N E?. 1002 <br /> �RDINANCE REGULATING AND LICENSING THE BUSINESS <br /> E�E' PAWNBROKER�, REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 147 <br /> RELATING TO PAWNBRUi�RS, JUNK DEALERS AND SECOND- <br /> HAND DEALERS, AND ADDING SECTION 9. 3 TO E�.2DINANCE <br /> NO. 447, THE BUSINEiS LICENSING CIRDINANCE <br /> THE COUNCIL UF RED�n100D CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLE7�TS: <br /> SECTION l. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or <br /> corporation to engage in the business of pawnbroker without first <br /> obtaining a pawnbroker's permit from the City Council. <br /> SECTIQN 2. Applications for a pa�vnbroker's permit shall <br /> be made in �vriting to the City Council and shall be filed with <br /> the City Clerk at least ten (10) days prior to the Council meefiing <br /> at which the application is to be considered. The application <br /> shall be on forms supplied by the City Clerk and shall contain <br /> the following in�ormation: <br /> (1) The name and address of the person or persons or <br /> members of the firm or officers of the corporation <br /> desiring the permit. <br /> (2) The address where the business is to be conducted. <br /> (3) A statement as to whether or not the applicant has <br /> been convicted of any crime other than t=affic <br /> offenses and the nature of the offense and the <br /> punishment or penalty assessed. <br /> (4) Such further information as the City Clerk may require. <br /> The application shall be accompanied by a non-refundable <br /> filing fee of Ten Dollars ($10.00) . <br /> SECTION 3. The Council shall grant the application and <br /> direct the City Clerk to issue a permit if the Council finds <br /> that the character and business responsibility of the applicant <br /> and every person who will be engaged in the business is satis- <br /> factory; otherwise, the application shall be denied. <br /> SECTION 4. Every permit issued shall be valid for a term <br /> not to exceed one (1) year and shall expire on the 30th day of <br /> June, annually. An application for renewal need not be accom- <br /> panied by the Ten Dollar ($10.00) application fee if the <br /> .R..,.�..._._r. .�%„ _ _.. <br />
