ORDINANCE REQUIRING THE SECiJRING OF A U5E FERMIT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF ANY STRUCTURE, OR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF ANY USE, 3�iITHIN A DESCRIBED AREA WITHIN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, ADOPTED AS A TEMPORARY INTERIM ZONING QRDINANCE, AND AD�FTED A� AN EMERGENCY MEASURE, TO GO INTO EFFECT IMMEDIATELY WI�REAS, the Planning Department of the City of Redwood City has proposed a new comprehensive Goning Ordinance for the City of Redwood City and has conducted studies relative to the zoning of the hereinafter described area; and, 1�7HEREA�, the Planning Commission has proposed a schedule of hearings on the proposed Zoning Ordinance, which schedule anti- cipates that the public hearings will be completed by March 20, 1963, and the ordinance transmitted to the City Council for hearing and adoption; and, ��REAS, the Planning Department is presently conducting an independent study relating to the proper zoning for the herein- after described area; and, �SrsiHEREAB, the County of San Mateo and the cities of San Mateo County are currently developing a financing plan for the construction of an interchange structure and major thoroughfare in the vicinity of the hereinafter described property, which improvements will have a substantial effect upon the appropriate zoning of said property; and, 3+�HEREAS, it is currently proposed to submit said financing plan to the voters of the County of San Mateo in the form of a general obligation bond issue to be voted upon in April, 1963; and, I�REAS, it has come to the attention of this Council that there is certain development proposed within the hereinafter described area which is not compatible with the uses anticipated under the proposed Zoning Ordinance; ':.:� •� , ,::�) �;'�
