ORDINANCE NO . 952 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY PROVIDING <br /> FOR A CONJECTION TO PUBLIC SEWERS OF ALL PLUMBING <br /> WHICH RECEIVES WASTE DISCHARGE FROM ANY BUILDING <br /> OR STRUCTURE EXCEPT UNDER CERTAIN DESIGNATED CONDI - <br /> TIONS , PROVIDING PROCEDURES FOR MAKING SUCH CON TEC- <br /> TIONS , AJD REPEALING ORDINANCES NOS . 202 and 21 <br /> THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS : <br /> SECTION 1 . As used in and for the purpose of this ordinance , <br /> the following words and terms shall have the meanings respectively <br /> ascribed to them by this section, unless it shall be apparent from <br /> the context that a different meaning is intended : <br /> Public Sewer . The term "public sewer" shall mean any main <br /> line sewer constructed in any street , highway, alley , place <br /> or right of way dedicated for public use . Such term shall <br /> not include sewer laterals or house-connection sewers . <br /> Cesspool . The word " cesspool " shall mean an excavation in <br /> the ground which receives discharge from any sanitary <br /> plumbing facility . <br /> House -Connection Sewer . The term "house --connection sewer " <br /> shall mean that portion of the horizontal sewer piping which <br /> extends from the building or structure to the property line <br /> of the public right of way or easement . <br /> Industrial Liquid Waste. The term " industrial liquid waste " <br /> shall mean any waterborne waste , except domestic sewage . <br /> Sewer Lateral . The term " sewer lateral" shall mean that <br /> portion of the horizontal sewer piping within the public <br /> right of way which extends from the public sewer to the <br /> street property line or limit of public right of way or <br /> easement . <br /> Health Officer . The term "Health Officer" shall mean the <br /> Health Officer of the City of Redwood City and shall include <br />
