BUILDING OFFICIALS FEB 5 1979 AND THE WESTERN FIRE CHIEFS ASSOCIATION THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECT ION 1. Article II (commencing at S12.7) of Chapter 12 of the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby repealed. SECTION 2. Article II (commencing at S12.7) is hereby added to Chapter 12 of the Code of the City of Redwood City, to read as follows: "ARTICLE II FIRE PREVENTION CODE "Section 12.7 ( a) Pursuant to Section 50022.1, et seq., of the California Government Code and Section 15 of the Charter of the City of Redwood City, the 'Uniform Fire Code, 1976 Edition,' as published by the International Conference of Building Officials and the Western Fire Chiefs Association, is hereby adopted and shall be in effect within the City of Redwood City to the same extent as if set out in full herein, except as expressly amended by the provisions of this article. "(b) In the event of any conflict between the provisions of the Uniform Fire Code, 1976 Edition, hereinafter referred to ãS the 'Fire Code,' and the provisions of this article, the provisions of this article shall govern. "Section 12.8 Wherever the following words appear in the Fire Code, they shall be held to have the following meanings: II (a) Wherever the word 'municipality' appears, it shall be held to mean the City. . 1775 .
