<br />REDWOOD CITY RECREATION AND PARK COMMISSION.

<br />THURSDAY, OCTOBER 14, 1937, 8:00 P. M.

<br />Mr. Dimmitt briefly explained the purpose of the
<br />Commission, and then called on Mr. MOrton to tell the Com-
<br />mission of his ideas and plans and what the Commission could do
<br />to be of assistance to him.
<br />
<br />Various suggestions were made and tentative future
<br />plans were discussed such as-a municipal swimming pool, and
<br />wading pool for small children, at the Yacht Harbor, creating
<br />the necessary facilities at the Emerald Lake Bowl for an open
<br />air theatre, creating playgrounds and parks -in various sections
<br />of the City, additional tennis courts at Mezes Plaza, enlarging
<br />the grandstand at the soft ball park, the City's acquiring a
<br />loud speaker and pUblic address-system, etc. -
<br />
<br />Mr. Dimmitt suggested that the group elect a Chair-
<br />man. Mr. Van Gundy nominated Mr. Millington: Mr. Hagan seconded
<br />the motion: and Mr. Millington was unanimously elected. Miss
<br />Hoenck was elected Secretary.
<br />
<br />It was decided that the Commission should meet on
<br />the second Friday of each month, the next meeting to be No-
<br />vember 12, and the meetings to be called at 7:30 rather than
<br />8:00. -
<br />
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the meeting
<br />adjourned at 9:40.
