S. Stout, and Jack Roole, Park Superin- <br />tendant Pasco Balzarini, Recreation Director Alfred Morton, <br />. and Zoe Kynell. <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />Andrew Spinas and Clement Baume. <br /> <br />OORRESPONDENCE: <br /> <br />-- <br /> <br />... <br /> <br />.""1 <br /> <br />A letter from the State Armory'Board ansering our <br />request for the use of the local armory for recreational <br />purposes. The State Board stated that the Recreation <br />Department may obtain permission to use the armory <br />facilities when not used by the local group but we would be <br />required to pay custodian fees. We were requested to con- <br />tact the local armory board for further arrangern,ents. <br /> <br />In the minutes of May 16th there was ~ ~1ssion of <br />the nomination connnittee. (The Chairman announced that <br />William Hanley was nominated as Chairman and Irving Gold as <br />Secretary.) He <br />stated that his committee of Jack Poole and Donald Bogie <br />met last week in regard to the report submitted by the <br />State Recreation Commission Survey. He stated the need for <br />a secretary for the Recreation Department and in view of <br />the fact that the State survey recommends the hiring of a - <br />secretary and'the committee concurs in this recommendation, <br />provisions should be made for a secretary in this year's <br />fiscal budget. <br /> <br />MSC by Commissioners Gold and Robb ths.t a letter be <br />sent to the City Manager requesting that funds be allocated <br />in the 1951-~2 budget for a Secretary for the Recreation <br />Department. <br /> <br />!. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS: <br /> <br />l -- .J~ <br /> <br />MSC by Dommissioners Bogie and Robb that a letter be <br />sent to the City Manager requesting the Billding Inspector <br />to make a thorough inspection of the foot bridge at <br /> <br />-- - L_,' - ".
