Minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read. COMMŒTTEE REPORT~: ,.. Chairman Werder of the yacht harbor control investigation conun- ittee revealed that while the port commission would be pleased to have the harbor taken off its hand"s, the charter d-oes not .permit such a change. However, members of the commission signified that any im- provements the recreation commission might deem advisable at the har- bor would meet with the support and approval of the port group, pro- vided- they ín no way-interfered with the administration of the har- bor. Any plans by the recreation conunission should be presented to them for approval, they said. - , . v Mr. Morton said that the library board had given permission to the recreation department ~o use the former library building as head- quarters until the building is disposed of. The staff was going ahead with plans to, take ove~ the building, he said. Chairman Spinas of the Festival of Progress conunittee gave the final report on the Festival's outcome.
