Oleson and Ed Spillanet Riding School <br />James Knecht, Baseball Fields <br />Ed Dugan, Folk Dancing at Taft School <br />Mr. Jim Beggs, Meb Buchanan, and Greg Carusot Facilities <br />for High School Students. <br />George Siefert, Friendly Acres Improvement Club <br /> <br />Mr. Ted Roeder representing the West Bay Archers in regard <br />to a box to house the Archery targets at Community Park. Mr. <br />Roeder stated that the Club will build the box under the super- <br />vision of Pasco Balzarinit Supt. of Parks and upon the completion <br />of the box it will be turned over to the City of Redwood City as <br />their property. MSC by Commissioners Hiram Stout and Eloise. <br />Campbell that the West Bay Archers be allowed to build this box <br />for the housing of targets and that a letter be sent to the City <br />that said box will become the property of the City of Redwood City. <br />This box will be built under the direction of the Park Supt. <br /> <br />Mr. O. S. Oleson brought up the question of Horseback Riding <br />in the Recreation Program similar to the program carried on in <br />the San Carlos Recreation Department. The Commission instructed <br />Alfred Morton to check into the insurance plan as far as the City <br />of San Carlos is concerned and to get information regarding fees <br />and charges set up by the San Carlos Recreation Department and to <br />make a report at the next regular meeting. <br /> <br />Mr. James Knecht spoke in regard to the use of the various <br />fields for baseball play in Redwood City. Mr. Knecht was assured <br />that in the future a field would be made available for his team <br />to use. <br /> <br />MSC by Commissioners Hiram Stout and Ralph Case that the <br />. City Manager be contacted to see if it would be possible to have <br />the Hoover Field graded for softball play making it possible for <br />the men's and Women's teams from National Motor Bearingt Ampex <br />Electrict and the Robert Dollar .Co~pany to use for practice after <br />5:00 P.M. If this were done, it would make more space available <br />for softball practice on the Community and Hawes Park fields. <br /> <br />-.
