<br />. <br /> <br /> <br />"220 <br /> <br />REDWOOD CITY PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br />June 3, 1959 . <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Park and Recreation Commission was called <br />to order by Chairman Maurice Schutz at 8: 10 p.m. in the Conference <br />Room at the City Hall. <br /> <br />On roll call the following were present Chairman Maurice Schutz, <br />Commissioners; Catherine Brennan, Louise Tornell and Alyn Beals, <br />Noted absent from the meeting were Commissioners, Wm. Hanley, Irving <br />Gold and James Knecht. Also, present were Red Morton, Recreation ' <br />Director and Pasco Balzarini, Park Superintendent. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />,. <br /> <br />M. S. C. that the miootes of May 6 be approved~th note to correction <br />of date of meeting. Motion made by Commissioner rlrennan and.seconded <br />by Commissioner Tornell¡. <br /> <br />Chai~~ Schutz Bead the correspondence received. Letter fr~ City <br />Manager Neal in answer to the Commissions request to hA.ve Bechet <br />Field oiled and paved. The letter stated that it is in the budget <br />and it will be taken c are of. <br /> <br />" <br /> <br /> <br />~tter from the North Redwood Little Lea~e inviting the Co~ission <br />to the dedication of Little League Field on Madison Avenue, June 5. <br />The letter also extended its gratitude to tha~Çommission and the <br />Recreqtion Department for all their cooperation. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br /> <br />Letter from City Manager Neal in answer to the Co~issions Letter <br />on seeking his à dvi se of setting up an administrative body within <br />the Commi ssion on receiving donations .'- The letter stated that the <br />.Commission twas an advising committee and that donations and etc. <br />WO11ld be handled through the City Manager's office. <br /> <br />Stulsaft Park - There was nothing reported in Commissioner Golds <br />absence with the exception that Mr. Balzarini stated two more reser- <br />~ vations had been made at the Park. <br /> <br />Discussion on the Committee meeting with Mr. Trifelletti regarding <br />the softball diamond at Stulsaft P~rk, the committee approved of <br />. the diamond but nothing de~inite had been decided due to not having <br />~y letters from Oddstad or Fra~ stating what they will donate. <br />The Commissioners present agreed that' a meeting should be set with <br />Mr. Trifelletti and have the matter settled with letters from these <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />companied as to just what they are willing to offer¡,) as a donation <br />towards the development of this softball diamond. lhe special meet- <br />ing is to be set for Wednesday, June 10. <br /> <br />Yacht Harbor - Red Morton presented the Commission with a report on <br />plans to develop a sales and service shop ~ the Yac~ Ha~or. The <br />Commission looked u.pon this develop.ment wlth favor.
