It was MSC that any:recommendations on this plan be carried over to the next regular meeting and that the public be invited through an article in the newspaper. A report was given by Mr. Morton that the model plan field was 9~Þ completed and the dedication date had been set for June 1st. MSC meeting be adjourned. Respectfully submitted, Robert Whitmore, Secretary PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION MINUTES - - - June 1964 Meeting called to order by Chairman, Jim Knecht. Commissioners present: Louise Tornell, Stan Sugarman and Bob Whitmore. Noted absent: Doris Thompson, Maurice Schutz and Alyn Beals. Guests present: Mrs. Travers, Mr s. Paloulozzo, 'Mr. Jarlenski, Mr s. Robbins and Mr. Ben Leese. Minutes of last meeting were read and corrected to state that Alyn Beals had been excused early from the meeting of May 6. Personal Appearance: Mr. Jarlenski, Mrs. Robbins and Mr. Leese appeared as interested individuals to point out the advantages of centering any major recreational planning for the east side of town in the Hoover School area. Many qonstructive recommendations were made and will be taken under advisement by the commission. Mrs. Travers appeared on behalf of the Redwood City Civic Association and said that she had surveyed some of the people in the immediate area of Stafford Park and found that they were not in favor of any major changes in the park except for the possibility of a tennis court and some improvement in the small children play area. - Old Business Mr. Balzarini reported that Fleishman Park was 95% completed. Mr. Morton reported that progress on the development of the Baird property at the present time was being held up pending the removal of trees.
