<br />The regular monthly meeting was called to order by Chairman Alyn
<br />Bea~s at 7:30 p.m.

<br />On roll call, the following were noted present:

<br />Commissioners Alyn Beals, Ann Gooding, James Kneèht, Jasper
<br />Sipes, Jack Stuart, Doris Thompson' Bob Whitmore. Absent: None.

<br />Also present: Recreation Director Alfred Morton; Park Superintendent,
<br />Pasco Balzarini; City Manager Howard Ullrich; and Recreation
<br />Supervisors, Bill Paulson and Bill Wooten.

<br />The minutes of the February 2nd meeting were approved as corrected-
<br />Line I, page 5, corrected to read: IIMr I1or~on asked the Park-and
<br />Recreation Commission to......and with Mr. Balzarini concurring.....'"

<br />1. Dated Feb. 21, 1966, concerning property for sale adjacent
<br />to Community Park between Armory an~ IIBaird" property. On mo-
<br />tion of Commissioner Whitmore, seconded by Commissioner Stuart,
<br />and passed, a letter was ordered written to Mr. Ullrich request-
<br />ing that Real Estate Committee be asked to -secure an option on
<br />property so that it can be considered for further expansion of
<br />Community Park. (3-9-66).

<br />2. Dated Feb. 15, 1966, ~enclosing copy of letter from Dr. Paul
<br />Young in which Dr. Young proposed that property adjacent to YMCA
<br />building on Hudson Street be obtained for a city park. Discuss-
<br />ion which followed showed some interest by Commission for a
<br />quiet type park. Mr. Ullrich advised that property was in ap-
<br />artment zone and that cost could be high. On motion of Comm-
<br />issioner Stuart, seconded by Commissioner Whitmore, and passed,
<br />Dr. young's -letter was referred to the Future Park Planning
<br />and Land Acquisition Committee of the Commission - Bob Whit-
<br />more, chairman.
