""' .. ; PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION MINUTES OF MAY 25, 1994 CO MMIS S lONERS PRESENT: Chairperson Swope, Commiss i 0 ners Davis, Howard, Morton, Slusser and Truscelli COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: Commissioner Nordness GUESTS PRESENT:, Vince Truscelli STAFF PRESENT: Director Peter Griffiths, Superintendent Bob Jones, Management Analyst Ramon Aguilar, Recreation S u perviso r Bill Wooten and Secretary Denise Monroe The regular meeting of the Park and Recreation Commission was called to order at 7:30pm by Chairperson Susan Swope in Room 5 of the Community Activities Building, 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City, California. APPROVAL OF MINUTES The following corrections were made to the April minutes: -Under Item 2, Letzring Memorial, in the last paragraph, the fourth sentence should read: "The Commissioners discussed the 3" to 4" of space behind the stone and suggested boxing off the area behind the stand to prevent injuries to children." -Under Item 5, Budget Update, the second sentence should read: "He explained that after review by the City Manager, the departmenfs budget was cut only approximately $60,000.00". -Under Monthly Reports, the last sentence should read: "Commissioners Morton and Davis deferred their comments until the May meeting." The minutes of the April meeting were approved as corrected. CORRESPONDENCE -Chairperson Swope commented on the letter from Michael Garb of the Redwood Shores Tennis Club regarding the type of signage they have placed at the Dolphin and Marlin Park tennis courts. She felt they had made an agreement with the Commission to place permanent signage at the courts to notify the public of upcoming tournament dates. Director Griffiths explained he spoke with Mr. Garb about the type of signage they are using and Mr. Garb
