Commissioner
Nordness clarified that under "Announcements", he asked the cost of park
signs be placed on the September agenda and that the Red Morton Center
usage figures were for information only. The minutes also did not reflect that
the August minutes were approved as corrected.

CORRESPONDENCE

There was no correspondence.

Oral Communications
Civic Cultural Commission Chairperson Tamara Piulle displayed a rendition
or "cartoon" of the new art work for the new Red Morton Center for the
Commissioner's review. She asked the Commissioners for their written
comments regarding the cartoon so she could forward them to the artist
before the work on the tapestry begins. Chairperson Piulle noted the art work
will be completed by the end of December and the Cultural Commission will
pay for its installation. She stated the Cultural Commission would like to
work with the Park and Recreation Commission on the grand unveiling of
the art work. They are looking to have a celebration for the one year
anniversary of the opening of the Red Morton Center and to recognize the
people who worked on the fund raising efforts for the new facility. This item
will be placed on the October Park and Recreation Commission agenda.
