APPROVAL OF MINUTES The minutes of the April meeting were approved as mailed. CORRESPONDENCE There was no correspondence. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS Dave Rogers of 1119 Oliver Street stated he came before the Commission 1.5 years ago and spoke on the issue of dogs and alcohol in City parks. He said he reported that people were violating the ordinances prohibiting dogs and alcohol in the parks and asked the Commission to take some action. He later received a letter from the Police Chief who indicated that notices would be sent to residents in their water bills reminding them of the ordinances. Mr. Rogers said the letter also stated that police officers would be instructed to handle ordinance violators with a warning and then a citation. Mr. Rogers said this is a bigger issue now and that he has never seen a police officer in the parks. He said that people constantly bring their dogs to the parks and drink alcohol in the parks and nothing is being done to control this. He asked the Commission to restore the enforcement of the ordinances immediately and said he was disappointed that the City and this department are doing nothing about this matter.
