ORDINANCE NO. 454 <br />AN ORDINANCE MIENDING AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "ORDINANCE N0. 442 AN <br />ORDINANCE REGULATING THE SIZE OF LOTS UPON WHICH RESIDENCES CAN BE BUILT <br />IN THE FIRST RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY111PASSED AND <br />ADOPTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY ON THE 3rd DAY OF JUNE, <br />1940. <br />The Council of the City of Redwood City does ordain as follows, <br />to -wit: <br />Section 1. Ordinance No. 442 entitled ttAN ORDINANCE REGULATING <br />THE SIZE OF LOTS UPON WHICH RESIDENCES CAN BE BUILT IN THE FIRST RESIDENTIAL <br />DISTRICTS OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITYtt, passed and adopted by the Council of <br />the City of Redwood City on the 3rd day of June, 1940, is hereby amended <br />by having an additional section added thereto to be numbered Section 32 and <br />to read as follows, to -wit: <br />Section 32. The Council of the City of Redwood City shall have <br />discretion in their judgment to permit the construction of a residence <br />upon any lot in the first residential districts provided the same has Five <br />Thousand (5000) square feet of area and said Council shall determine the <br />frontage that said lot shall have, it being the intention of this amendment <br />to permit the Council to divide lots in the first residential districts into <br />areas that have Five Thousand (5000) or more square feet and have a frontage <br />that is suitable for the construction of a residence thereon. <br />
