<br />CGM:ef:8/6/73R <br /> <br />CRiGlNA[ <br /> <br />IW 13 73 <br /> <br />o R DIN A N C E <br />--------- <br /> <br />N O. /~'7~ <br /> <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 2.14, 2.15 AND 2.27.2 <br />OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, RELATING <br />TO REIMBURSEMENT OF TRAVEL EXPENSES INCURRED IN <br />THE PERFORMANCE OF DUTIES <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Section 2.14 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 2.14 Whenever any officer or employee of <br /> <br />the City, other than a member of the City Council, is <br /> <br />required to travel outside or within the City in the per- <br /> <br />formance of his official duties, he shall be allowed and <br /> <br />paid, in addition to his salary or compensation and other <br /> <br />allowable expenses, the transportation expenses provided <br /> <br />for in Section 2.15." <br /> <br />SECTION 2. Section 2.15 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 2.15 Transportation expenses shall be com- <br /> <br />puted as follows: <br /> <br />"(a) Actual costs to and from destination not to <br />exceed a maximum computed at l3~ per mile for <br />miles traveled both within and outside the <br />city by carrier service, including any privately- <br />owned conveyance; provided, however, that for <br />travel to and from destination in excess of <br />300 miles said maximum shall not exceed actual <br />air coach fare when such fare is less than the <br />amount computed at the aforesaid rates. For <br />the purposes of this subsection, the actual <br />cost for miles, actually traveled by privately- <br />owned conveyance, including costs of fuel, <br />maintenance, repair~ insurance and depreciation, <br />shall be deemed equal to the maximum allowance <br />provided for in this subsection. <br /> <br />"(b) Any employee of the City who is required to <br />keep available a privately-owned vehicle for <br />use in traveling on City business during his <br />working days as a condition of employment shall <br />be allowed, as determined by the City Manager, <br />either: <br /> <br />"(1) An amount equal to estimated actual <br />costs, including costs of fuel, main- <br />tenance, repairs, insurance and depre- <br />ciation, which amount shall not exceed <br />$140 per month~ or <br />
