Section 2 of Ordinance No. l5l9, entitled "An <br /> <br />Ordinance Establishing Salaries for Employees of the City of Red- <br /> <br />wood city; and, Repealing Ordinance No. 1483," is hereby repealed. <br /> <br />SEC~~9N ~. Any employee holding a position in the classifi- <br /> <br />cation of fire fighter, fire inspector, fire alarm supervisor, or <br /> <br />fire captain who is assigned, in writing, the duties of a job <br /> <br />classification with a higher salary range than that to which he <br /> <br />is regularly assigned, on a temporary basis but for more than 30 <br /> <br />days, or ten shifts (for such personnel on a 24-hour shift schedule), <br />within any period of 12 consecutive months, shall receive, in <br /> <br />addition to his basic salary for such period, compensation in the <br /> <br />amount of 5% of such basic salary for that time worked under such <br /> <br />circumstances in excess of 30 days or ten' shifts, as the case may <br /> <br />.be. <br /> <br />SECTION 4.
