I~ t/I AN ORDINl\NCE AMENDING ARcrICLE I OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CI'I'Y BY ADDING THE RETO SEC1.'IONS 2.27 THROUGH 2.27.5, RELATING TO COUNCIL HEIvlBER EXPENSE CLAIMS THE COUNCIL OF HEm-lQOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Sections 2.27 through 2.27.5 are hereby added to Article I of the Code of the City of Redwood City, to read as follows: "Section 2.27 Whenever a member of the City Council is required to travel from the City to a destination outside the City in the performance of his official duties, prior to departure of such mem.'l:>er approval of the Council for such travel and advance for, or rei~bursement of expenses under Section 2.27.2 shall be required when anyone or more of the following circumstances exist: "(a) The destination is outside the State of California; "(b) The de stina t.ion is in exce ss of 75 mile s from the City; "(c) The purpose for which travel is required neces- sitates the use of ov~r-night living accoDlmodations. "Section 2.27.1 Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 2.27, whenever a menfuer of the City 'Council is required to travel from the City to a destination outside the City in the perfonnance of his official duties, prior to departure of such member approva'l of the Council for such travel and advance for, or reimbursement of expenses under Section 2.27.2 shall not be required when anyone or more of the following circumstances exist: "(a) The destination is 75 miles or less from the City; "(b) Funds for expenses relating to the purpose for which travel is required have been appropriated in the current annual budget;
