<br />-, -, <br /> <br /> <br />~ <br />I go" a}-3/(J <br /> <br />:j <br /> <br />o R DIN A N C E <br />--------- <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE ~~NDING SECTIONS 3.62, 3.84, 3.89, 3.94, <br />3.99, 3.100, 3.101, 3.102, 3.104, 3.106, 3.109, 3.121, <br />3.122, 3.124, 3.126, 3.130 AND 3.137 OF, REPEALING <br />SECTIONS 3.125, 3.125.1, AND DIVISION 7 (CO~~NCING AT <br />~3 140) OF ARTICLE II OF CHAPTER 3 OF, AND ADDING <br />DIVISION 7 (COMMENCING AT ~3.140) TO ARTICLE II OF <br />CR~PTER 3 OF, THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />RELATING TO THE PLACEMENT AND }ffiINTENANCE OF SIGNS IN <br />THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Section 3.62 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 3.62 <br /> <br />The area of any sign shall be exposed <br /> <br />face area, including any background or backing constructed, <br /> <br />painted or installed as an integral part of such sign. <br /> <br />"Where separately backed or individual cut-out figures <br /> <br />or letters are used, the area shall be measured as the area <br /> <br />of the smallest polygon, at not to exceed six straight sides, <br /> <br />which will completely enclose all figures, letters, designs <br /> <br />and tubing which are a part of such sign. Where such separate <br /> <br />or individual component elements of a sign are spaced or <br /> <br />separated from one another by an area equal to or greater <br /> <br />, <br />than the area of the adjoining component element, each <br /> <br />component element shall be considered a separate sign. <br /> <br /> "The area: of double faced signs shall be the area of <br />the larger sing le face.
