01/15/2008 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2325 <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLES XIV OF CHAPTER 18 OF <br /> THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO <br /> THE ESTABLISHMENT OF REGULATIONS AND STANDARDS <br /> FOR THE PLANNED EXTENSION AND REPAIR OF UTILITY <br /> AND STREET IMPROVEMENTS; ADDING ARTICLE VI OF <br /> CHAPTER 38 RELATING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF <br /> WATER MAIN UPGRADE STANDARDS <br /> THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION 1. Sections 18.235 and 18.236 of Article XIV of Chapter 18 of the <br /> Redwood City Municipal Code are hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> "Sec. 18.235. DEFINITIONS: For the purposes of this Article, the <br /> following words and phrases shall have the meanings respectively ascribed <br /> to them by this Section: <br /> COMMERCIAL BUILDING: Any structure that relates to or is connected <br /> with a business or trade, including but not limited to, office or industrial <br /> uses. <br /> EXISTING BUILDING: The building, where tenant improvements or substantial <br /> remodeling will be performed on the date of the application for the building <br /> permit. <br /> NEW BUILDING(S): Any construction of a building, or buildings with a total floor <br /> area of one-thousand (1,000) square feet or more. <br /> OWNER: The owner or owners of record of the subject property. <br /> PARKING FACILITIES: A parking lot or parking structure for five (5) or more <br /> parking spaces. <br /> PROPERTY OR SUBJECT PROPERTY: The real property which is being <br /> approved. <br /> RESIDENTIAL BUILDING: Any structure that is used for private permanent <br /> dwelling purposes.
