From:NINA BOIRE
To:GRP-City Council
Subject:Redwood Shores Sea Level Rise Protection Project
Date:Thursday, August 20, 2026 5:17:50 PM
Mayor Elmer Martinez Saballos, Vice Mayor Kaia Eakin, Isabella Chu, Jeff Gee, Diane Howard, Marcella Padilla
and Chris Sturken,
I know that you are discussing the Redwood Shores Sea Level Rise Protection Project at the August 24, 2026 City
Council Meeting. I have attended two meetings regarding this issue, the last being last Saturday, August 15, 2026 at
the Redwood Shores School. Two design alternatives were presented at the meeting for the levees in the Shores. I
feel that Alternative 2 "Optimized Design" is the better choice as far as having the least impact on the Redwood
Shores community and retaining the current character of the Shores.
Thanks for your consideration,
Nina Boire
Redwood Shores Homeowner and Resident for 44 years
