DFS:yc: 3/1 // /3 ,,,. • ORIGINAL R E S O L U T I O N NO. 6882 APR 2, 73 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING OBJECTIVES, CRITERIA AND PROCEDURES FOR THE EVALUATION OF CERTAIN PROJECTS,. AND THE PREPARATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORTS IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY; AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 6865 WHEREAS, the Environmental Quality Act of 1970 (Div. 13, Public Resources Code, commencing with §21000) , as amended by Chapter 1154, 1972 Statutes (AB 889) requires the preparation and use of environmental impact reports in connection with certain projects ; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 21083 of the Public Resources Code, the Secretary of the California Resources Agency has certified and adopted guidelines for the implementation of the California Environmental Quality Act. of 1970 ; and WHEREAS, Section 21082 of the Public Resources Code requires that each public agency adopt its own objectives, criteria and procedures consistent with the aforesaid guidelines ; and WHEREAS, this City has implemented heretofore both adminis- tratively and formally (pursuant to the provisions of Res. No. 6865, adopted Feb . 5, 1973 , by the Council of the City of Redwood City) , the requirements established by law relating to the preparation and use of environmental impact reports ; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to revise this City' s prior enact- ments and procedures in order that they more precisely conform to the aforesaid guidelines; NOW, THEREFORE ; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: 1.
