REG:yc:12 /6/63 -7 <br /> of ff. <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> 6 ') <br /> O R D I N A N C E NO., 2 ..,'t <br /> ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION 2.24 TO THE CODE OF THE CITY <br /> OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO THE EXECUTION OF WARRANTS <br /> AND CHECKS, AND AUTHORIZING USE OF FACSIMILE SIGNATURE <br /> THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION 1. Section 2.24 is hereby added to the Code of <br /> the City of Redwood City, to follow Section 2.23, to read as <br /> follows: <br /> "Section 2.24 (a) Pursuant to the provisions of <br /> Section 59 of the Charter of the City of Redwood City, the <br /> City Manager and City Treasurer are hereby designated and <br /> authorized as the proper City officers to issue and sign <br /> all warrants and checks, including checks, warrants and <br /> orders for payment of bond interest and redemption for <br /> outstanding bonds of Parking District No. 1. All such <br /> warrants and checks withdrawing City funds on deposit in <br /> the City Treasury or on deposit in any banking institution, <br /> whether such funds be in active or inactive accounts, shall <br /> be issued and signed by both the City Manager and the City <br /> Treasurer. <br /> "(b) Notwithstanding the provisions of paragraph (a), <br /> above, the Assistant City Manager is hereby designated and <br /> authorized to issue and sign all warrants and checks of the <br /> City of Redwood City on behalf of the City Manager in the <br /> absence or disability of the City Manager and the Deputy <br /> City Treasurer is hereby designated and authorized to issue <br /> and sign all warrants and checks of the City of Redwood City <br /> on behalf of the City Treasurer in the absence or disability <br /> of the City Treasurer. <br /> "(c) The signatures of the City officers authorized <br /> to issue and sign warrants and checks of the City of Redwood <br />
