RD-00-50 RESOLUTION NO. 50 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY AND THE EXPENDING OF <br /> FUNDS THEREFOR, AND THE INSTITUTION OF EMINENT DOMAIN PROCEEDINGS <br /> <br /> ASSESSOR PARCEL NO(S.) 053-175-020 & 053-175-030 <br /> OWNER(S): Mr./Mrs. Raymond Hudson <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Community Redevelopment Law, Part 1, Division 24 of the Health and <br />Safety Code of the State of California Sections 33342 and 33391, and Code of Civil Procedure <br />Sections 1230.020, 1240.010, 1240.110, 1240.120 and 1240.130 et seq., provide for the acquisition <br />of private property by negotiated purchase and eminent domain for redevelopment purposes, namely, <br />the clearance and elimination of blight; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in furtherance of the objectives of the Community Redevelopment Law, the <br />Redevelopment Agency of the City of Redwood City ("Agency") is engaged in carrying out a <br />Redevelopment Project known as the Redwood City Redevelopment Plan, Franklin Street Project Area <br />("Project"), in an area located in the City of Redwood City and for which a Redevelopment Plan was <br />adopted by the Agency by Resolution No. 1862 (as amended) and approved by the City Council at a <br />regular joint meeting of the City of Redwood City and the Agency; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in furtherance of the implementation of the Project, the Agency has undertaken <br />various redevelopment activities and obligations and is in the process of the completion of existing <br />public and private redevelopment activities; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Agency has previously prepared, circulated and certified a Final <br />Environmental Impact Report and together with other environmental documents in compliance with <br />the California Environmental Quality Act CCEQA"), found in Public Resources Code Sections 21000, <br />et. seq., and the State CEQA Guidelines adopted by the Secretary of Resources; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Agency has determined that the activity for which a portion of the real <br />property hereinafter described ("real property interests") are being acquired is within the scope of the <br />Final Environmental Impact Report and the Report adequately address and analyze the acquisition by <br />the Agency of real property within the boundaries of the Redevelopment Plan and the Project for the <br /> <br /> (page 1 of 5) <br /> <br /> <br />
