RESOLUTION No, 11-0 <br />A RESOLUTION of THE PLANNING COMMISSION of THE CITY of <br />REDWOOD CITY RECOMMENDING THAT THE CITY COUNCIL of <br />THE CITY of REDWOOD CITY ADOPT A ZONING ORDINANCE <br />AMENDMENT ESTABLISHING THE MIXED USE CORRIDOR ZONING <br />DISTRICT UNDER ARTICLE 53 (INCLUDING RELATED REVISIONS <br />To ARTICLES 2, 3 30 AND 0), AND AMENDING SECTION 30,6A <br />(1) As IT RELATES To PARKING LOT DRIVE AISLE DIMENSIONS <br />WHEREAS, on October 11, 2010, the City council of the City of Redwood Cit <br />("City Council") adopted the new Redwood City General Plan; <br />WHEREAS, the General Plan contemplated the establishment of a Mixed Use <br />Corridor Zoning District; <br />WHEREAS, the proposed Zoning Ordinance Amendment is comprised of: a <br />establishment of Article 53 as the Mixed Use corridor Zoning District Ordinance; b <br />revisions to Articles 2, 3 30 33, and 60 related to the Mixed Use Corridor Zonin <br />District; and (c) amendment of Section 30.6A (1) as it relates to parking lot drive aisle <br />dimensions; <br />WHEREAS, a notice of public hearing on the Zoning Ordinance Amendment was <br />mailed to all properties within a Soo -foot radius of the area affected by the Zonin <br />Ordinance Amendment and duly published in the Daily News 10 days prior to the public <br />hearing, and the Planning commission Meld a public hearing on the Zoning Ordinance <br />Amendment on May 18,2010; <br />WHEREAS, on May 3, 2011, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on <br />the proposed Zoning Ordinance Amendment, and on said date the public hearing was <br />opened, held and closed; <br />WHEREAS, after the duly noticed public hearing, the Planning Commission <br />considered and finds that the proposed Mixed Use corridor District Zoning ordinance <br />and changes to the parking lot drive aisle dimensions are in the public interest and <br />consistent with the Redwood City General Flan, and desires to refer to the City council <br />■ <br />consideration of the Zoning Ordinance Amendment; <br />WHEREAS, the City Council, by Resolution fro. 15059 adopted on October 11, <br />2010, certified the General Ilan Final Environmental Impact Report ("EIR"); and the Cit <br />prepared an addendum to the El R to address the environmental impacts of the fixed <br />Use corridor Zoning District ordinance and amendment related thereto, which found <br />that there are no new significant impacts nor any increase in the severity of previousl <br />identified impacts, and that no change in circumstance has occurred with respect to the <br />p <br />EIR and the proposed Mixed Use Corridor Amendment or the environment affected b <br />ATTYIRESO.2125 /MUC Zoning ordinance <br />042711 <br />
