RESOLUTIONT NO, PC- 98- <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE SECOND TECHNICAL ADDENDUM <br />TO THE "PROJECT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT," <br />CONSISTING OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT FOR <br />THE GENERAL .PLANT REVISION FOR REDWOOD PENINSULA AND <br />THE FIRST TECHNICAL ADDENJDIJM, AND FINDING THAT A <br />SUBSEQU ENT EIR IS NOT R EQ TIRED <br />(FLATIRONS FUNDING) <br />On motion of Planning Commission Member Ga.rc i a , duly .seconded and <br />carried, the following resolution was adopted: <br />WHEREAS, on July 1.5, 1996, the Council of the City of Redwood City adopted <br />Resolution No. 1 Z8 19, certifying the "Project Environmental Impact Report" ( "Project <br />EIR ") for approvals relating to the Electronic Arts .Headquarters, including a Vesting <br />Tentative Map, Planned Development Pen - nit, and Development Agreement (collectively, <br />the "Project Approvals "); and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the Project Approvals, Flatirons Funding, Limited <br />Partnership (the "Applicant ") has vested rights to construct a development (the <br />"Project ") on a site (the "Proj ect Site ") within the Shores Business Center at Redwood <br />Shores in Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, Applicant has submitted an application for minor modifications to <br />the Project Approvals, including a lot line adjustment to the boundaries of four parcels of <br />the Project .Site, conforming amendments to the Planned Development Permit and the <br />Development Agreement,, and amendments to the Development Agreement to guarantee a <br />specif c amount of :sewage treatment :capacity and to provide that if the Electronic Arts <br />Property is owned by different entities, the default of one should not terminate or <br />otherwise affect the rights of the other under the Development Agreement (collectively, <br />the "Project Modifications "); and <br />WHEREAS, the Project Modifications will permit the Applicant to move two <br />office buildings and a parking garage approximately 1.00 feet southwesterly toward <br />Redwood Shores Parkway, thereby improving the relationship of these buildings to the <br />electronic Arts buildings that have already been constructed; and <br />WHEREAS, the Proj ect .Modifications will not change the size and the height of <br />the buildings permitted under the .Project Approvals, and the basic conf gyration of the <br />buildings and common areas .in the Project on this portion of the .Project Site will remain <br />unchanged; and <br />ADWRES4DOC <br />
