.R E S L U T I 0 N PC- N o . 97-2 <br />A RESOLITTIOlV OF THE PLANNING COMIVIISSIOIV OF THE <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY REPORTING ON AND <br />RECOIVIMENDING ADOPTION OF THE FOURTH <br />AMENDMENT TO THE REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR <br />REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT NO. 2 <br />WHEREAS, the Redwood City Redevelopment Agency has prepared <br />and submitted to the Planning Commission of the City of Redwood City <br />( "Planning Commission ") a proposed Fourth Amendment to the flan for <br />Redevelopment Project loo. Z ( "Fourth Amendment "); and <br />WHEREAS, Section 33346, 33347 and 3.3354.6 of the Community <br />Redevelopment Law (Health and Safety Code, Section 3300 et seq.) <br />provides that the Planning Commission is to revlew the proposed Forth <br />Amendment and snake its report and recommendations thereon to the <br />.Redevelopment Agency and the City Council, including a determination <br />that the proposed Fourth Amendment conforms to the General Plan of the <br />City of .Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, Section 65402 of the Government Code provides 'in part; <br />" {a} If a general plan or part thereof has been adopted, no real <br />property shall be acquired by dedication or otherwise for <br />street, square, park or other public purposes, and no real <br />property shall be disposed of, no street shall be vacated <br />or abandoned, and no public building or structure shall <br />be constructed or authorized, if the adopted general plan <br />or part thereof applies thereto, until the location, <br />purpose and extent of such acquisition or disposition, <br />such street vacation or abandonment, or such public <br />buildin g or structure have been submitted to and <br />.reported upon by the planning agency as to conformity <br />Frith said adopted general plan or part thereof," <br />-1- <br />PC Report & Recommendation <br />AK/DES. 8/28197 <br />
