RESOLUTlON NO. 12-20 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF' THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE <br /> CITY OF REDWOOD C1TY APPROVING AN ARCHITECTURAL <br /> PERMfT FOR THE ALTERATI4N OF A DESIGNATED HISTORlC <br /> LANDMARK PURSUANT TO ARTICLE 45 OF THE REDWOOD <br /> CITY ORDINANCE AND CHAPTER 40 OF THE REDWOOD CITY <br /> MUNICIPAL CODE <br /> WHEREAS, Applicants, Patrick and Nayda Klein submitted an applicatian <br /> for a 586 sqt�are-fioot addition to a designated his#oric Iandmark located at 743 <br /> Elm Street (the "Project"); and <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Cammission of the City of Redwood City <br /> ("Commission") is empow�red by the Redwood City Historic Preservation <br /> �rdinance (Chapter 40 of the Redwood City Municipal Code) to review and <br /> comment upon applicatians for permits to construct, change, alter, modify, or <br /> remocfel a histaric resource accar�ing ta the standards for reha�ilitatia�t adopted <br /> by the Ur�ited States Secretary of the Interior; and <br /> WHEREAS, on 5eptember 18, 20'12, the Commission considered a <br /> recommendation firom the Historic Resources Advisnry Committee fio a�prove the <br /> Project, based on the staff repar�s, araf and written, and tes#imony and materials <br /> presented by all those wishing to be heard on this Project at the noticed pu�lic <br /> h�aring an this matter; and <br /> WHEREAS, an September 18, 20�2, the Commission conducted a duly <br /> noticed public hearing, in accordance with all applicable requirements of the <br /> Historic Preservatio� Or�inance, to consider approvai af an application for a <br /> landmark alteration as described in the Architectural Permit Applicatian No, <br /> AP2011-37'; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Commission has determined that the proposed <br /> application woufd #urther the purpose of and appropriately implement the City of <br /> Redwood City Ge�eral Pfan palicy BE-107, and the Redwaod City Historic <br /> Preser�ation Ordinance. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLL�WS: <br /> Sectian 1.
