<br />'-::::;--' - <br />-'! -!, <br /> GÐpy <br /> JOINT EXERCISE OF POWERS AGREEMENT <br /> SOUTH BAYSIDE SYSTEM AUTHORITY <br />BY AND BETWEEN THE CITIES OF BELMONT, REDWOOD CITY <br />AND SAN CARLOS AND MENLO PARK SANITARY DISTRICT <br />SUPERSEDING THAT CERTAIN JOINT EXERCISE OF POWERS <br />AGREEMENT DATED JUNE 26, 1969 BY AND BETWEEN SAID <br />CITIES <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, dated for conveqience as of <br />/ÝI~t!JIIIJ£ II /1, 1975, by and between the City of Belmont <br />("Belmont"), a general law city, the City of Redwood City <br />("Redwood City"), a chartered city, the City of San Carlos <br />("San Carlos"), a general law city and Menlo Park Sanitary <br /> / <br />District ("Menlo"), a sanitary district, each duWorganized <br />and existing in the County of San Mateo (the "¿~nty")' State <br />of California (the "state") under the constitUtion and laws <br />of the state and collectively called the "Agencies", <br /> WIT N E SSE T H: <br /> ---------- <br /> WHEREAS, the Area hereinafter defined has substantial <br />water quality control problems; and <br /> WHEREAS, Belmont, Redwood City and San Carlos (the <br />"cities") entered into a joint exercise of powers agreement <br />on June 26, 1969 (the" 1969 agreement") for the construction <br />and operation of Joint facilities therein described and the <br />1969 facilities (being Stage 1 of said joint facilities) <br />were constructed and are now maintained and operated by the <br />1969 authority provided for in the 1969 agreement and <br /> 1005024 <br />
