ATTACHMENT I <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 14-09 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br /> OF REDWOOD CITY APPROVING A PLANNED COMMUNITY <br /> PERMIT FOR ONE MARINA HOTEL AT 650 BAIR ISLAND ROAD <br /> PURSUANT TO THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY PENINSULA PARK <br /> PRECISE PLAN <br /> WHEREAS, Applicant, OTO Development, has submitted an application for a <br /> Planned Community Permit for a 5-story, 177-room hotel at 650 Bair Island Road <br /> (the Project) which is within the Peninsula Park Precise Plan area; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Redwood City (Planning <br /> Commission) is empowered by the Peninsula Park Precise Plan to act upon Planned <br /> Community (PC) Permit applications; and <br /> WHE, EAS, on February 13, 2014, the Architectural Advisory Committee <br /> (AAC) held a meeting to consider the proposed project, and found that the proposed <br /> project is consistent with the general intent of the Precise Plan and recommended <br /> approval to the Planning Commission with some minor design modifications; and <br /> WHEREAS, in 2004, the City of Redwood City certified the Final Environmental <br /> Impact Report for the original Marina Shores Village project (State Clearinghouse <br /> #2002022076) (EIR) and in 2007, an Addendum to the EIR (Addendum No. 1) was <br /> prepared for the Peninsula Park Precise Plan; and <br /> WHEREAS, in 2014 a Revised Addendum No. 2 to the EIR (Addendum No. <br /> 2) was prepared and considered by the City in approving the Pete's Harbor Planned <br /> Development Project and associated tentative map; and <br /> WHEREAS, on June 3, 2014, the Planning Commission conducted a duly <br /> noticed public hearing, in accordance with all applicable requirements of the State <br /> Planning and Zoning Law and the Peninsula Park Precise Plan to consider approval <br /> of Planned Community Permit Application No. PC2014-01; and <br /> WHEREAS, on June 3, 2014, the Planning Commission considered an Initial <br /> Study checklist prepared by the City and its findings, the previously certified EIR, <br /> Addendum No, 1, Addendum No. 2, the staff reports, oral and written, and testimony <br /> and materials presented by all those wishing to be heard on this Project at the <br /> public hearing on this matter; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Commission has determined that the Planned Community <br /> Permit would further the purposes of and appropriately implement the City of <br /> Redwood City General Plan, applicable provisions of the Redwood City Municipal <br /> Code and Peninsula Park Precise Plan, and the One Marina Hotel Project at 650 <br /> Bair Island Road. <br /> ATTYMES0,2982/PC ONE MARINA HOTEL—650 BAIR ISLAND ROAD <br /> REV:05-29-14 VR <br /> Page 1 of 9 <br />
