. .; - �2EG:yc:9/29/60-7 O � D INANCE NO. 981 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY APPROVING THE ANNEXATTC>N TO THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY OF CERTAIN UN- INHABITED TERRIT�RY DESIGNATED "E3IGH7�AND5 TERRTTORY NO. 11," AND HEREIN DESCRIBED, AND HEREIN ANNEXTNG SAID TERRTTORY TO SAID CITY OF REDWOOD CITY THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, on the 15th day of August, 1960, the Council of the City of Redwood City adopted Resolution No. 3182 giving notice of, and declaring its intention to, initiate upon its own motion pro- ceedings to annex to the C ity of Redwood C ity all of the territory designated as "Highlands Territary No. 11" ; and WHEREAS, this Council has received evidence showing, and has found, and again finds, that a written description of the proposal to annex said territory to the City af Redwood City was f iled with the Secretary of the Boundary Commission of San Mateo County, California, on May 20, 1960, and that said Boundary Com- mission has prepared, or caused to be prepared, a report on said annexation proposal as required by 1aw, and that said Boundary Commission has approved the boundaries of said proposed annexation; and has received evidence showing, and has found, and again finds� that the aforementioned action of the Council initiating the an- nexation of the herein described territory, upon its own motion, was not commenced until after said written description of the proposal for said annexation was f iled with the Secretary of the San Mateo County Boundary Commission, and until after said Commission made, or caused to be made, its report and approved said boundaries; and WF��.2EA8, this Council has further received evidence showing, and has found, and again f inds: (1) That said territory is situate i.mmediately adjacent to and touches and is contiguous to the boundaries of the City of Redwood City; and I ,
