O R D I N A N C E N O . 948 <br /> AEC : ek : 8/17/59 - 7 <br /> AN ORDINANCE CANCELLING APPROPRIATION OF $ 10 , 000 BEING A <br /> PORTION OF $ 12 , 000 HERETOFORE APPROPRIATED TO WATER DEPART- <br /> MENT CAPITAL OUTLAY FOR REPLACEMENT OF BREWSTER RESERVOIR <br /> FENCE ; AND , APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $ 10 , 000 TO WATER DEPART- <br /> MENT CAPITAL OUTLAY FOR CONSTRUCTION OF DISTRIBUTION RESERVOIRS , <br /> TANKS , AND APPURTENANCES , FOR EMERALD LAKE WATER SYSTEM <br /> WHEREAS , the sum of $ 12 , 000 has heretofore been appropriated <br /> for use by the Water Department for the purpose of replacement of <br /> the Brewster Reservoir fence ; and , <br /> WHEREAS , it is necessary to expend the sum of $10 , 000 for <br /> the purpose of construction of distribution reservoirs , tanks and <br /> appurtenances for the Emerald Lake -;eater system ; and , <br /> WHEREAS , it is the intention of this Council to cancel a <br /> portion of the $ 12 , 000 appropriation heretofore made for the re- <br /> placement of the Brewster Reservoir fence and appropriate the sum <br /> of $ 10 , 000 for the purpose of constructing distribution reservoirs , <br /> tanks and appurtenances , for the Emerald Lake water system ; <br /> NOW , THEREFORE ; <br /> THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS : <br /> Section 1 . The appropriation of Ten Thousand Dollars <br /> ( $ 10 , 000 ) being a portion of the total amount of Twelve Thousand <br /> Dollars ( $ 12 , 000 ) , heretofore appropriated to Water Department <br /> Capital Outlay for the purpose of replacement of the Brewster <br /> Reservoir fence , is hereby cancelled , and said sum is hereby <br /> ordered returned to the unappropriated unbudgeted balance of the <br /> (Water Fund . <br /> Section 2 . The sum of Ten Thousand Dollars ( $ 10 , 000 ) is <br /> hereby appropriated from the unappropriated unbudgeted balance <br /> of the Water Fund to mater Department Capital Outlay for the <br /> purpose of construction of distribution reservoirs , tanks and <br /> appurtenances , for the Emerald Lake water system. <br /> Section 3 . The Auditor and Treasurer are hereby authorized <br /> and directed to expend the aforementioned sum for the purposes <br /> specified herein . <br />
