DES : dp : 6 /21/77 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> JUN 2 7 1977 <br /> RESOLUTION No . 7g29 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT <br /> FOR OPERATION OF SANITARY SEWERAGE TREATMENT FACILITIES <br /> WHEREAS , the South Bayside System Authority ( " Authority " ) <br /> is a public entity established and operating pursuant to that <br /> certain joint exercise of powers agreement by and between the <br /> Cities of Belmont , Redwood City , and San Carlos , California , <br /> and the Menlo Park Sanitary District , dated November 13 , 1975 ; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS , Authority presently operates and maintains sanitary <br /> sewerage transmission and outfall facilities which serve this City <br /> and the other constituent agencies of Authority ; and <br /> WHEREAS , Authority proposes to construct , operate and maintain <br /> new sanitary sewerage treatment facilities which , when operable , <br /> shall serve this City ' s sanitary sewerage area and shall replace <br /> the sanitary <br /> WHEREAS , <br /> commencement <br /> sewerage treatment facilities of this City ; and <br /> during that period of time from the present to the <br /> of full operation of Authority ' s new treatment <br /> facilities , economies in the operation of this City ' s sanitary <br /> sewerage treatment facilities can be achieved , and a smooth transi- <br /> tion from the operation of this City ' s treatment facilities to <br /> the commencement of the operation of the Authority ' s new treatment <br /> facilities can be promoted , by providing for the operation of this <br /> City ' s sanitary sewerage facilities by Authority and its personnel ; and <br /> WHEREAS , an agreement has been presented to this Council provid- <br /> ing for the aforesaid interim operation of this City ' s sanitary <br /> sewerage treatment facilities by Authority ' s personnel ; <br /> NOW , THEREFORE ; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY , <br /> AS FOLLOWS : <br /> 7829 <br />
