S60 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING PURCHASE OF CERTAIN <br />HEREIN DESCRIBED REAL PROPERTY ADJACENT TO COMMUNITY <br />PARK, REDWOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA; AND, AUTHORIZING AND <br />DIRECTING PUBLICATION OF NOTICE OF INTENTION OF SAID <br />ACQUISITION <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has secured an option <br />to purchase certain real property adjacent to Community Park <br />in the City of Redwood City for a total purchase price of <br />$16,000; and <br />WHEREAS, it has been recommended to this Council that <br />the acquisition of said property is in the best public interest <br />and that it is necessary and desirable for public park and <br />other municipal purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, the purchase price of said real property exceeds <br />the sum of $2,000; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council <br />to approve the purchase of said property at the total purchase <br />price of $16,000; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. That the acquisition of the hereinafter described <br />real property is necessary and desirable for municipal purposes <br />2. That the City Manager is authorized to do all acts <br />necessary to acquire the hereinafter described real property <br />for a total purchase price of $16,000 on behalf of the City <br />of Redwood City in accordance with the terms and conditions <br />of the option agreement dated August 29, 1967, recorded in the <br />office of the Recorder of San Mateo County on August 31, 1967, <br />in Volume 5358 at page 14. <br />3. That the property to be acquired is that certain real <br />property in the City of Redwood City, County of San Mateo, <br />
