S0 <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE <br />BRADFORD STREET - MARSHALL STREET PARKING LOT; <br />REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED; AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION OF CONTRACT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING <br />RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 5585, adopted January 15, <br />1968, the City Clerk called for bids for the construction of the <br />Bradford Street - Marshall Street Parking Lot in the City of <br />Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received and filed <br />with the City Clerk for the performance of said work; and <br />WHEREAS, COPENHAVER CONSTRUCTION CO., Mountain View, California, <br />is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and <br />desire of this Council to award said bid to said Copenhaver <br />Construction Co., to waive any informality in the bid of the <br />above mentioned low bidder, and to reject any and all other bids <br />received for said work; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of Copenhaver Construction Co., in the total <br />amount of Twenty-eight Thousand Two Hundred Forty-two and 90/100 <br />Dollars ($28,242.90), for the construction of the Bradford Street <br />- Marshall Street Parking Lot, computed in accordance with bidder's <br />proposal dated February 14, 1968, is hereby accepted and said <br />bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible <br />bidder for said work. <br />2. Any and all bids received by the City of Redwood City <br />for the above mentioned work, other than the bid mentioned in <br />paragraph 1 hereof, are hereby rejected. <br />
