O R D I N A N C E <br />N 0..186 3 <br />(3RIGINAL <br />SEP 13 1982 <br />AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ARTICLE II OF CHAPTER 12 OF THE <br />CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY; AND ADDING ARTICLE <br />II OF CHAPTER 12 TO THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />RELATING TO FIRE PREVENTION; AND ADOPTING BY REFERENCE <br />THE "UNIFORM FIRE CODE, 1982 EDITION," AS PUBLISHED <br />BY THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF BUILDING OFFICIALS <br />AND THE WESTERN FIRE CHIEFS ASSOCIATION <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. Article II (commencing at 12.7) of Chapter 12 of the Code <br />of the City of Redwood City is hereby repealed. <br />SECTION 2. Article II (commencing at 12.7) is hereby added to Chapter <br />12 of the Code of the City of Redwood City, to read as follows: <br />ARTICLE II <br />FIRE PREVENTION CODE <br />Section 12.7 (a) Pursuant to Section 50022.1, et seq., of the <br />California Government Code and Section 15 of the Charter of the City of <br />Redwood City, the 'Uniform Fire Code, 1982 Edition (including Appendix <br />Chapters I, II, III, and IV) ,' as published by the International <br />Conference of Building Officials and the Western Fire Chiefs Association, <br />is hereby adopted and shall be in effect within the City of Redwood City <br />to the same extent as if set out in full herein, except as expressly <br />amended by the provisions of this article. <br />" (b) In the event of any conflict between the provisions of the <br />Uniform Fire Code, 1982 Edition, hereinafter referred to as the 'Fire <br />Code,' and the provisions of this article, the provisions of this article <br />shall govern. <br />1863 <br />
