J 7!) 8 f)f)t~INAL <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1758 <br /> <br /> --------- <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2.20 OF THE REDWOOD CITY JUH 2 6 1978 <br />CODE RELATING TO THE SCHEDULE OF REGULAR MEETINGS OF <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY, AND DECLARING THE <br />ENACTMENT HEREOF TO BE NECESSARY AS AN EMERGENCY <br />MEASURE <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION l. Section 2.20 of the Redwood City Code is hereby <br />amended to read as follows: <br />"Section 2.20(a) Regular meetings of the Council <br />of the City shall be held on the first and third Mondays <br />of each month, except when any such Monday is a holiday <br />as defined by the Personnel Rules and Regulations of <br />the City of Redwood City (excluding the provisions for <br />administrative holidays) . <br />" (b) Regular meetings of the Council shall be held <br />at 7:30 P.M. in the Board of Supervisors Chambers, Hall <br />of Justice and Records, Redwood City, California. <br />" (c) All Council meetings shall be open to the <br />public except for permitted executive sessions. " <br />SECTION 2. This ordinance is hereby declared by the Council <br />of Redwood City to be necessary as an emergency measure for the <br />immediate preservation of the public peace, health, and safety <br />in that the reduction in the number of Council meetings per month <br />provided hereunder is necessitated by a reduction in the work <br />force of the City commencing on July 1, 1978. Said reduction in <br />the work force is necessitated by the anticipated reduction in <br />ad valorem real property tax revenues pursuant to Article XIIIA <br />of the Constitution of the State of California, added by <br /> 1758 <br /> '.....-... <br />
