<br /> ORIGINP\~" <br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE REDWOOD CITY - SAN MATEO COUNTY <br />CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> AGREEMENT <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this ~,dayof <br />D.cæt'-~ ,1992 by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a <br />municipal corporation of the State of California (hereinafter referred to as "City") and the <br />REDWOOD CITY - SAN MATEO COUNTY CHAMBER 0 F COMMERCE <br />(hereinafter referred to as "Chamber"): <br /> WITNESSTH: <br />WHEREAS, Chamber has requested City to provide moneys during the <br />Fiscal Year July 1, 1997- June 30, 1998 for the maintenance and improvement of the <br />economy of the City of Redwood City by the general promotion and development of local <br />industry and commerce in the City of Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, City has determined that the promotion and development of the <br />industrial and commercial economy of the City of Redwood City is vital to the present and <br />future well-being of all segments of the City of Redwood City, is in the public interest, and <br />benefits the entire community; <br />NOW THEREFORE, it is hereby agreed as follows: <br />1. Promotion and Economic Development <br />(a) City shall pay Chamber Thirty Thousand and NO/100 Dollars <br />($30,000.00) during the period July 1, 1997 and June 30, 1998. <br />(b) Chamber agrees to expend all moneys received from City pursuant to <br />subparagraph (a) for the sole and exclusive purpose of maintaining and expanding the <br />economy of the City of Redwood City and increasing the prosperity and well-being of all <br />segments of the community by operation Civic/Community Promotion and Economic <br />Development programs; and further agrees that none of the moneys received from City <br />pursuant to subparagraph (a) will be used to send newsletters, or other "mass mailing" as <br /> ._M.... <br />
