7/] s/go <br /> <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> This agreement, made and entered into this ~'~' day of <br />~~ , 1990, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />a municipal corporation of the State of California, hereinafter <br />referred to as "City", and the Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County, <br />hereinafter referred to as "Contractor"; <br /> <br /> W I TNESSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS. Contractor is a non-profit corporation of the State of <br />California, which has been established for the principal purpose of <br />providing a free legal assistance to seniors and families of modest <br />income who live in San Mateo County; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City desires to participate in said program by <br />contributing financial assistance to aid Contractor in providing <br />the above mentioned services to residents of the City of Redwood <br />City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has represented to City that it is experienced <br />and qualified to perform such services; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants and <br />agreements herein set forth, the parties hereto do hereby agree <br />as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. CONTRACTOR'S STATUS. In the performance of the obligations <br />set forth in this agreement, Contractor shall have the status of an <br />independent Contractor and in no sense shall Contractor be considered <br />to be an employee of City. <br /> <br /> <br />
