RESOLUTION NO. 17-11 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY APPROVING ARCHITECTURAL PERMIT NO. <br />AP2017-026 FOR 735 HOPKINS AVENUE IN ACCORDANCE WITH <br />CHAPTER 40 OF THE REDWOOD CITY MUNICIPAL CODE AND <br />ARTICLE 45 OF THE REDWOOD CITY ZONING ORDINANCE <br />WHEREAS, the Applicant, Glen Dobbs on behalf of Richard and Bonnie LeMar, <br />filed an application for an Architectural Permit to allow construction of a new 770 square <br />foot second -story addition to the single-family home located at 735 Hopkins Avenue; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to City Council Resolution No. 14723, 735 Hopkins Avenue <br />is located within the designated Mezesville Historic District; and <br />WHEREAS, the existing structure located at 735 Hopkins Avenue is not a <br />"contributor" to the Mezesville Historic District and not considered a historic resource or <br />landmark; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 40 of the Redwood City Municipal Code <br />(Historic Preservation Ordinance), the Historic Resources Advisory Committee (HRAC) <br />shall review any application to tear down, demolish, construct, alter, remove, or relocate <br />any improvement, or any portion thereof, which has been designated a historic <br />landmark or is within a historic district; and <br />WHEREAS, on August 10, 2017, the Historic Resources Advisory Committee of <br />the City of Redwood City held a duly noticed public hearing in accordance with all <br />applicable requirements of the State Planning and Zoning Law, and the Redwood City <br />Municipal Code and Zoning Ordinance, to consider the permit application and <br />supporting material; and <br />WHEREAS, on September 19, 2017, the Planning Commission of the City of <br />Redwood City held a duly noticed public hearing in accordance with all applicable <br />requirements of the State Planning and Zoning Law, and the Redwood City Municipal <br />Code and Zoning Ordinance, to consider Architectural Permit application No. AP2017- <br />026; and <br />WHEREAS, on September 19, 2017, the Planning Commission fully reviewed, <br />considered, and evaluated the staff reports prepared for the Project including the <br />attachments to the staff reports, oral and written public testimony, and all other <br />documents and evidence in the public record on the Project. <br />ATTY/RESO.0087/PR RESO APPROVING ARCHITECTURAL PERMIT -735 HOPKINS <br />REV; 09-11-17 PR <br />Page 1 of 6 <br />
