The meeting <br />wps called to order by Chaiman Hanley at 7:45P.M. Those present were: <br />Commissioners Catherine Brennan, Elouise Campbell, WiJ..li~m Hanley, R81ph <br />Case, Fred Hector, Hir~ Stout Md Irving Gold. ~sent were: Joseph <br />Ferem and Andrew Spin as. <br /> <br />MINUTES of the January 7th meeting were. approved. <br /> <br />PERSONAL APPEAAANCES: Mr. John Dacland, 627 Maddux Drive, representing <br />the Woodside HighlRnds Improvement Club, requested informRtion regarding <br />the IIKin~-SterljnP'. Chairman Hanley informed Mr. Macland tha.t as <br />soon as the Commission heArd from Councilman Rover of the Council Recreati <br /> <br />~ - <br /> <br />CrmJ!1 i ttee as to acti on taken rep;ardinp; ,a reque s t for a s11rvey thi s body <br />would go into action towRrd devèloping the Park Site. <br /> <br />COrvINII TTEE REPORTS: <br />Westwood No#l, Commissioner Fred Hector reported the grounds were wet <br />and. that no action could be taken a s ye t. Th5- S WRS plrl ce d on t he agenda. <br /> <br />Taft Play Area, Chairman Hanley reported that the Council Committee <br />hRd looked into the matter and were expected at this meeting to report <br />0 nth e i r fin din g s. T 11 e C om 1:1 5 t tee was not pre s e n t an d t his was pIa c e don <br />the a~enda. <br /> <br />CO1111UNI CATIONS: <br />Letter from the City Manager, dated February 2, 19~3, was read to <br />the Commission regarding a request for a survey of Stulsaft Park. This <br />was in reply to our letter of January 28th. <br /> <br />MSC by Stout and Case that a letter be sent to City ManAger Rolison <br />thanking him for his prompt reply to our corre~pondence. However, we <br />would appreciate a defini te answer so tha.t we might go into immediate <br />action. <br /> <br />Letter from City Clerk Dodge, dated December 18, 1952, was read to <br />the Commission requesting that a prooer si,gn be plllced on the Recreation <br />Building. <br /> <br />The Com~ission was informed by Recreation Director Morton that nOD <br />only WRS there a sign on the Hecreation Build.ing but also one on the <br />Swinnning Pool Bu_ilding. The Secretary was instructed by the Chairman to <br />so notify City Clerk Dodge. <br /> <br />A letter from Park Maintenance, Appleton, Wisconsin, dated January 27, <br />19~3 was read to the Commission requestinr; thisCity's plan requiring <br />subdividers to set aside areas for parks before plans are accepted. In <br />essence this letter wanted a story, pictures, etc. for publication. <br />This matter was discusseà and it was the opinion of the Commission that <br /> <br />" <br /> <br /> <br />this would have to be looked into, i.e. our City Ordinance, Planning <br />C~issions' decision, City Clerk's information, etc. Chairman Hanley <br />advised Secretary Gold to obtain an ordinance of the City pertaining to <br /> <br />
