Noted Absent: <br />Alfred Morton. <br /> <br />MSC by William Hanley and Maurice Schtz that the minutes of the <br />December I meeting be approved as mailed. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />A latter was received from City Manager E.I. Rolison, dated December <br />10' in reply <to our let'ter of De cember '9. City fi{anger Rolls on advised <br />~at e"ry effort has ~en ~~ to 8~~re a mç ~d1cat~ t~ ~t~ <br />Harbor area from the Port Cammission. He stated thathhis matter is <br />no'N in t~e hands of the Por't Commission" who are negotiationg with the <br />Southern Pacific Company for a spur line to the'Port. This spur line <br />. should detèrmine the boundary C)t'>the'~ Yatèh'?Har1:ò~J:property. <br /> <br />Commissioner Verssen-reported _that there has been no change in the <br />matter of the property in which the Widow's, I-nc.- are interested. <br />The li-dow' s, Inc. have not proceeded in the quiet t1 tIe sui t, be cause <br />of the possible costs ,to clear the title. <br /> <br />Park Superintendent Balzarini advised the the San Francisco Water Company <br />is now putting, two foot pipes under the water main in Community Park, <br />to aid in creek drainoff. When this portion of the work is completed, <br />San Francisco Water C~pany will fence the existing hazard. <br /> <br />t <br /> <br />Chairman Gold stated that he had received letters from the office of <br />fio8.nee and the fovernor's office in Sacramento regarding the Union <br />Cemetary, suggesting that perhaps this matter could be worked our if a <br />bill were to be presented to the state legislature to have-the property <br />released fr~ state control. Pasco Bal;arini advised that he had been <br />asked by Councilman Granger to formulate a list of plot owners and heirs <br />of those buried at- Union Cementary, so that they may be contacted <br />regarding futureb~lals ~d possible r~~al of r~ains. ' <br /> <br />Chairman Gold reported that negotiations fer the Hawes Pp...rk awi tch are <br />continuing. He advise-d that another meeting would take place wi th <br />Mr. Andrew Spinas end Councilman William Royer on January 13. <br /> <br />Commissioner HB.,nley reported that a meeting is t'o' be held to discuss <br />fue Yacht Harbor probl~s with representatives frÅ“ the city COMCn, <br />park and recreationcommission, _port commission and the Sequoia <br />Yatch Club. <br /> <br />Commissioner Hanley advised that the city council has approved an <br />e~enduture of $990 for fencing Madd~ Park.
