<br />.6 <br /> <br />changes is the first page, the rest is Code. <br /> <br />Commissioner Thompson reported on her attendance at the Park and <br />Recreation Conference March 20-24. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at,9:30 P.M. <br /> <br />Minutes of <br />Regular Meeting of Park & Recreation Commission <br />May 5, 1965 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairman Alyn Beals at 7:30p.m. <br /> <br />ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Commissioners Alyn <br />Beals, Doris Thompson, Jack Stuart, James Knecht, Louise Tor- <br />nell, Jasper Sipes and Robert Whitmore. Also noted present <br />were Red Morton, Recreation Director, Assistant Park Superin- <br />tendent William Shewry, Park Superintendent Pasco Balzarini <br />and Clerk Sandra Kuhn. <br /> <br />Minutes were approved with corrections as noted. <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE: <br /> <br />Letter read from Assistant City Manager suggesting that there be <br />. a time allocation of one-half hour at each regularly sche- <br />duled Park & Recreation meeting to discuss Progress on Red- <br />wood Shores. <br /> <br />Correspondence from Bill Shewry regarding Community Park and the <br />4ger Field, stating each department's responsibilities in <br />getting the field ready to practice on by the middle of Aug. <br /> <br />Letter from Bill Shewry regarding Whipple Street Tree Planting, <br />explaining the departments involved, and what their job is <br />to be, concerning planting the trees. <br /> <br />PERSONAL APPEARANCES: <br /> <br />Mr. Howard Ullrich, project Manager for Redwood Shores appeared <br />to explain that on May 4 the Planning Commission held its <br />last public hearing on Redwood Shores. It successfully <br />passed, and the Planning Director was directed to transmit <br />it to the City Council. The Clerk has put an item on the <br />Agenda for Monday, May 10, for the City Council Meeting, <br />which will set the first public hearing. <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Ullrich went on to say that a long session was held with <br />the school people. The Planning Commission made a motion <br />which carried to the Council recommending that the independ- <br />ent commission of finance be formed with the school authori- <br /> <br />
