Other <br /> <br />¡ <br /> <br /> <br />The staff discussed with the Commission the preliminary draft of the <br />Police Youth Club (PYC) report, which is still under study by the staff. <br />The report covers various elements of the PYC operation and attempts to <br />relate these elements to the goals and objectives of the PYC. Statistical <br />analysis is also a part of the report as they relate to these elements. <br />It was pointed out that additional data is being supplied by the Police <br />Department for consideration in the report and that further study was <br />necessary before finalizing the report. The Commission concurred with the <br />thrust of the report and with the elements as currently being studied. <br />They urged the staff to continue with the study and requested the oppor- <br />tunity to review the final report for recommendations to the City Manager <br />and the City Council. <br /> <br />MATTERS FROM THE AUD IENCE <br /> <br />Mrs. Helen Phillips, Chairman of the Interim Park Committee, spoke briefly <br />regarding the status of the Emerald Hills College Site and suggested utilizing <br />the area as a regional park along with the Hassler property. In the meantime, <br />she suggested converting the area into an interim park to keep in tune with <br />the gasoline shortage. Chairman Schenck suggested the Open Space Committee <br />review the problem and report back to the Commission. <br /> <br />Motion: There being no further business, Commissioner Guida moved that <br />the meeting be adjourned, seconded by Commissioner Pound. <br /> <br />The motion carried unanimously by voice vote and adjournment time <br />was 11:45 pm. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />REDWOOD CITY PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br />April 10, 1974 <br /> <br />The regular business meeting was called to order by Chairman Larry Schenck at <br />7:35 pm in the lobby meeting room of the Community Activities Building. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> <br />Members Present: Commissioners Guida, Knecht, Pound, Rollins, Schenck and Weintraub. <br /> <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Staff Present: <br /> <br />Director Max C.
